    Prateek Katiyar, PhD

    Associate Director, Novartis

    Prateek is based in Basel, Switzerland and works as an Associate Director of Data Science within the AI & Computational Science (AICS) team at Novartis – Biomedical Research. In his current position, he leads research on deep learning method development to address challenges from early drug discovery. Prateek has more than ten years of experience in both industry and academia, with expertise in applying machine learning to imaging and multi-modal datasets. Over the past decade, he has worked in several medicine and biology fields, including oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, and preclinical safety. Prateek maintains a strong interest in sample-efficient deep learning and representation learning approaches that contribute to solving fundamental problems in drug discovery. Previously, Prateek completed his PhD in machine learning for translational oncology at Werner Siemens Imaging Center & Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, Germany. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tübingen and was conferred with the best PhD award from the Faculty of Medicine. His recent research contributions have been recognized internationally, including receiving the Digital Transformation of Nuclear Medicine award from the German Society of Nuclear Medicine.

    Ananya Badrish

    Vice President, Morgan Stanley

    Ananya is based in New York City, USA and currently a Vice President in the Wealth Management Chief Administrative Office within Morgan Stanley, focusing on creating the offshoring strategy and ensuring the successful implementation of that strategy. She has over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry and have worked across a multitude of different institutions ranging from small regional to Global Systematically Important Banks (GSIB). She was previously at EY, engaging inquantitative advisory services, specifically related to credit risk. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Biometry & Statistics. She loves numbers/analytics! She was born in Bangalore, India and moved to New Jersey when she was 4 years-old.
